RCGP and Crohn’s and Colitis UK’s IBD Toolkit

Posted on the 23rd April 2018

1 in 250 people are affected by IBD, yet patients report a lack of support and slow diagnosis.

The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) along with Crohn’s and Colitis UK, have launched an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Spotlight Project Toolkit. The toolkit is intended to aid patients, GP’s and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and management of IBD.

Providing a comprehensive range of up to date IBD information from overview and diagnosis to managing flare-ups and understanding the risks of colorectal cancer in IBD, the Toolkit is designed not just to aid those working in primary care, but also to raise awareness of the significance of this complicated and growing disease area.
