Sign the petition for labelling over-the-counter medicine

Posted on the 17th January 2017

Thanks to Chris Robinson and Barretts Wessex, a petition has started calling on the Government to require a warning on over-the-counter medicine packets to see a GP if symptoms persist. No more than it says on the leaflet of course, but targeting persistent unresolved heartburn is a key strategy to combat oesophageal adenocarcinoma. And just in time for February’s Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Month.

At 10,000 signatures, the Government sends a response; at 100,000 it triggers a debate in Parliament.

So please sign the petition, and, if possible, spread the word by social media and any other means to make the petition a success. It won’t be an easy process, but it will start off the campaign and raise the issue up the agenda!
